It is unbelievable that nowadays a cruel fiesta as bullfighting is nominated as a cultural heritage. Please be human and acknowlegde that bulls and the other animals used in this fiesta feel pain, experience anger and die an terrible and unnessecary death.

Il est évident pour tout humain sensé que la pratique de tuer des taureaux pour se distraire, et en public, ne peut être considéré comme un spectacle respectable et admirable. C'est une pratique qui a été vénérée avant que les humains ne prennent conscience de la cruauté qui anime cet exercice, jugé autrefois "art". L'art ne peut être confondu avec la perversion de tuer à l'usure un animal trop peu malin pour refuser le combat ou surprendre le toréador. En somme c'est un abus de confiance !

I am from Catalonia, where most of our people believe bullfighting should not be regarded as a spectacle to be honored and watched by the new generations. Our decision mostly resides in the following question: what society do we expect for future generations if we incentivize such violent and sadistic activities? This activity that some call 'sport' coexists with the values of submission, sadism and violence... Why are we reproducing this enormous mistake that has led us to slavery, wars and segregation from groups to other groups? Please, do not declare this activity World Heritage, for the sake of the evolution of human thought and the human values.

Cultural avenues of importance can never involve the suffering of humans or animals. Even if the blood sport of bull fighting was important to the majority (it is not), we cannot allow the cessation of evolution in regards to empathy and compassion, by dismissing it as "culture".
