It is part of an enormous and shocking number of sadistic events in which animals are tortured, thrown from tall towers and drowned in Spain. Many of these horrific events are acted out during Fiestas and many young people appear to enjoy this and this includes children.
It is the mark of an extremely uncivilised country and many Spaniards are against these activities and would like to see them all banned. It has even been suggested that, for example, bullfighting is an art and cultural!! I was taken to bullfights as a child so I am fully aware of what happens and just how incredibly cruel it is.
