Petice za přísnější sankce vůči Ruské federaci v AJ - Letter to countries (EU, NATO, USA)
Dear Representatives of
Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
We are turning to you as people concerned about the fate of Ukrainians who face unprecedented aggressive attacks carried out by the Russian armed forces. We have been informed by our close relatives in Ukraine that Russian troops are attacking not only military targets from the air, but also innocent civilians, among whom, unfortunately, the casualties are quickly increasing.
Ukrainian armed forces fearlessly defend their country, they have already lost many people, and they will lose more if we do not help Ukraine from outside. Ukraine will soon not be able to deter attacks from the massive Russian army that continues day and night in air, sea and land attacks on towns and cities all over the country.
We very much appreciate the support of your countries so far, but we consider the current form of sanctions to be insufficient, as they have no effect.
This is why, in the name of European People, we ask you to:
- Immediately cut off Russia from the SWIFT financial system.
- Provide Ukraine with weapons that will limit Russian air strikes.
- Impose additional direct sanctions on Vladimir Putin as well as on his allies and oligarchs that will freeze their financial and other assets and property.
- Provide Ukraine with humanitarian aid.
Ukraine is a civilized and democratic country that has always been fighting for its independence and freedom. The war, waged by the Russian Federation on 24th February 2022, is an act against International Law, against all peace treaties, against European values, against Human Rights and Humanity. European Union and NATO member states are responsible for peace on the continent and have all the tools to stop Russia.
You have promised a decisive and harsh response in case Russia invades Ukraine. Now please keep your words.
