Israel is seriously limiting the Palestinian right to self determination. With this in mind, the technical development of the palestinian society is also being limited. We demand Israel to end its illegal occupation. If Israel can freely take hostage the aforementioned Palestinian right, then it is up to us, academics, the desition to also take hostage Israel's right to develop itself in the international sphere as a technical society.Marco A. I am signing this petition to express myself in one of the many ways that protestors all over the world are expressing support for the complete liberation of the Palestinian people. This university is complicit in the continued occupation, or at the very least, turning a blind eye to the complete decimation of an entire culture. Charles University is acting in a way that is completely hypocritical compared to the stance it has taken on Ukraine and Russia. At the outbreak of the war, Charles University provided for the suffering people of Ukraine and SUSPENDED ALL contracts with Russian Universities. However, despite the fact that Israel has killed more than 30,000 Palestinians, CU continues it's contract with HUJI. It is time Charles University opened it's eyes and completely cuts ties with all Israeli universities and make a statement supporting the students of Palestine like it did for Ukraine.Christopher Truax (Prague, 2024-04-28)
